It's a pooh! Or poo! Katya loves Pooh. She loves looking at books about him, and she loves her blanket and stuffed Pooh. She loves any clothes she owns with Pooh on it. Everywhere we go, she points him out. She actually calls every bear she sees, "Pooh". This all started because she watches her Pooh DVD. She loves to watch it everyday, although we don't always let her. She'd probably stare at pictures of Chase and horsies and watch Pooh all day if we'd let her. She is also enthralled with poo. She likes to point to the bottoms of all the animals and missionaries that are visiting and say, "POO!". She very good at telling us when she has poo in her diaper although it hasn't seemed to help in potty training yet. Sometimes it's a little confusing which poo/pooh she is speaking of, so it makes things a little challenging

We love Grandpa! Katya had a great time wtih Grandpa last weekend. We thougth she might be a little shy since she hasn't seen him in so long, but she took right to him. She wanted Grandpa to hold her over anyone else, and she was thrilled to have company in the back seat. They went walking in Norfolk alond the waterside as you can see in this picture. Then they watched the Pooh movie together. When Katya woke up from her nap, we went to see the horsey and then went to eat delicious seafood. Grandpa read her bedtime stories and sat with her in church the next day. It was a great weekend. Thanks for coming Grandpa!

It's a h-h-h-horsey! Katya is enthralled with horsies lately, so we set up a time last Saturday for her to see her babysitter's horse, Brock. Her babysitter is Lisa, and she has 4 great kids. Katya's best friend is Chase, sitting behind her on the horsey. She talks about him even more than she talks about horsies. We thought she would just get to see the horsey and maybe pet it, but Lisa brought her whole family and led Brock out and we all brushed him and fed him carrots, and then Katya and Chase got to ride him! It might have been as exciting for Brock as it was for the kids. He looked very pleased to get so much attention. We had a great time with Grandpa and Dad looking around the farm and petting all the horsies and watching them all storm in to be fed. Katya still talks about Chase and the horsey every day, so we think she had a good time. Besides, she had a constant smile on her face while we were there. I think we may have an equestrian in the family!
